In 2024, Joe Freshgoods debuted his screenplay, From Prom To Paris, a teenage romance that explores self-discovery and intimacy. Drawing from his personal experiences and a love for history, the story is set in April 2005 and features compelling visuals that highlight themes of love, travel, and growth. It journeys from the west side of Chicago to Paris, France, intertwining Black Prom's history and cultural relationships with color.
